2013 Goals- Day 1

I thought about not posting my goals for 2013 on the blog but I read the book "The Circle Maker" by Mark Batterson {:More on that book very soon it's totally life changing...so in short pop over to Amazon after reading this and buy it ASAP:} and that completely changed my mind. Goals don't just cause you to push yourself, but they also often inspire others to set their own goals or act as a springboard for other ideas. I am definitely not aiming to have anyone "aspire" to be me by any means; I have a long ways to go trust me I know, but that's why I am setting goals.
This year I also set my goals pretty high because I want them to be more than what I think I am able to do so that when I look back on the year and see what I accomplished I will know it wasn't by my own efforts but through Christ. And why not aim high and come short instead of aiming to low and settling for less than what you are capable of?

But, don't get me wrong there will be some trivial goals on the list as well...

So...Every day for the next week or so I will be posting one of my goals for the year with a little explanation of the motive behind it. Hopefully it will help you come up with a few "beyond your limits" goals of your own for 2013.

1) To read 20 books this year.
I always read, but too often I read a book over several months and in the process pick up a new book that catches my eye start reading it and then the process starts all over again. So this year I want to soak up as much wisdom as I can....I'll keep you up to date on the books I am reading and share my recommendations.
