All the Single Ladies

How appropriate is that title since she just rocked it on the half time stage at the Super Bowl?!

Lately I have found myself in a very different place in my life....Single. But, that's not the different part{:I have been single a good amount in my adult life:} The different part is that this time I don't have a single close girlfriend who is not in a serious relationship, engaged, married, married and expecting, or married with a baby.

Yup, it's different, but not necessarily a bad different. I can honestly say that I am happy {:don't get me wrong I am still praying daily to meet my husband:} and learning a lot about myself. One thing I have learned to do was take a note from David and encourage myself.

So today if you are single, I am going to encourage you with some of my favorite scriptures and quotes for those moments that always creep in when you are either lonely or feeling bad for your single self OR both. It happens, but now consider yourself equipped and ready for those moments.

That's why I don't think there's any comparison between the present hard times and the coming good times.
                                                                                                                                         Romans 8:18
Jude 1:2

And don’t be wishing you were someplace else or with someone else. Where you are right now is God’s place for you. Live and obey and love and believe right there. God, not your marital status, defines your life. Don’t think I’m being harder on you than on the others. I give this same counsel in all the churches."

1 Corinthians 7:17

  1. This is beautiful. Thank you for sharing!!!! I felt this way for a long time until I met my now-husband. I used the time of being single to truly understand who I was as a person and figure out what needs of mine I needed to meet before getting involved in a relationship.

    Beautiful post!

  2. Stopping by from H54F! I know exactly how you feel. I recently met my husband and got married, but I was at that single stage well into my mid 20s. Hang in there and remember that God is using this time to preciously prepare you (AND your future husband) for the most perfect time together. He's got you!! Thank you for using your blog to encourage other women. That's so nice to see! I'll definitely be stopping by again soon!! (PS - word to us WV girls!! :))

  3. Thanks for sharing nice stuff. I will come again keep it up.

Thanks for your comment. I absolutely LOVE reading them and they bring honest joy to my day, so thanks!
