Just Keep Swimming, Just Keep Swimming

Can you hear Dori saying this in the movie? You know she was pretty smart for a forgetful fish. She could have even been a theologian.

"Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me"
Psalm 23:4

{:Cue Gangsta's Paradise…You know you were rapping it in your head:}

Can you tell which word I'm going to touch on in this verse? Yep WALK! You are such a genius you!

There are times in our life that are tough and there are other times that rock our entire world. This verse refers to the second of the two. "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death"…yea, I think it's safe to say David, who wrote this psalm, didn't just get a ticket that day for running a red light on his donkey. He was in the darkest of dark days.

When we hit those dark valleys and it feels like we are alone without any hope of how to even get out of bed the next day, that one small word tells us exactly what we are suppose to do. When we are in the aftermath of what may seem like our darkest hour we are just suppose to walk. How do we walk when we can't even bare to see the sun in our bedroom because it means we have to face another day? We read on and know that we are not doing it by our might alone, but solely through His grace. "For {He} is with me." There is a peace that surpasses all understanding {:Phillipians 4:7:} that Jesus invites you to tap into in these trying and difficult times. Jesus wants to be your comforter, your rest, your peace, and your provider.

Just keep swimming.
