From Cowboy Hats to Tutus

There is always something about Father's Day each year that turns me into mush. Maybe it's just because I love my dad so much.

My dad is probably one of the most interesting people you will ever meet. This was him during his rodeo days. Yup, my dad was a real live cowboy. Actually, he was 7th in the world in his prime. He was also a stunt double in a couple movies, has a song written about him, and has some pretty awesome stories.

Better than all of that, is the person my dad is. My dad has shown me what it means to be a man from the day I was born. I have always been his little girl. Not only is he over at my house the second something goes wrong or I need a man around here, he always goes above and beyond. He shows up at my house with ice cream just because he knows I love it or he drives over to my house just to bring me cough drops. He has made it awfully hard for any other guy to ever live up to him, but I will know he's the one if he ever treats me the way my Dad has shown me I deserve.

My dad traded in his world filled with spurs and cowboy hats for pink bows, ruffles, and tutus. And for that I love him and for so many, many more reasons.
