The Single Girl Diaries - Full Circle

Life has a way of coming full circle doesn't it? Just 10 months ago I found myself in a brand new season of singleness. The only problem was, when I looked around no one else was single anymore. Not only was I left sobbing on the couch watching He's Just Not That Into You for the 14th time, but I couldn't imagine the purpose God could have for me in yet another season of singleness.  I had been there for the majority of 27 years already, what more could there possibly be for me to learn?

Yet here I am ten months later with a blog post called The Single Girl Diaries which seems to be encouraging other single women that find myself on the same journey I am on. Not only that I, I just spoke a session at my church on singleness. So it seems that I was making all of this singleness way to much about me. Because from what I have seen, my singleness has been very little about me in this season and much more about encouraging others. Not because I have it all together, I don't, but because I am willing to be open and honest about the reality of the season and the hardships that come with it.
{:This is me in my full circle moment as I was speaking in my session on singleness:}

The very thing that seemed like it might shatter my world was the very thing that gave me a voice to help other women.

Often times God will use the very things that wreck our worlds to bring us to the place where everything falls together. Sometimes God has to wreck us to remake us. So remember that wherever you are on that path, God is doing something in you that you are best able to receive at this place in your life. Be open for Him to do something in your mess that will result in a message that encourages, inspires, and builds faith in others.

  1. I LOVE THIS!!! God has been using you in so many amazing ways and will continue to do so! I am so happy I was able to come across your blog because you have been an inspiration and encourager to me and my singleness. It is hard to be in your early and mid 20's single, especially with everyone else around you getting married! I am so glad I am able to read these post and have someone who knows exactly what I am going through :) God is great and is using you for great things!
